Aparup Ukil (born 22 October 1962) is a poet, artist, and designer whose creative work moves across literature, painting, and visual design. He studied Bengali literature at Charuchandra College and later received formal training in art under the guidance of the renowned artist and teacher Madhab Lal Dutta at Birla Academy. Beginning his career as a cover designer in the publication world, he gradually established himself as a multifaceted creative personality, working in illustration, advertising, and book design while continuing his literary pursuits.

Alongside his work in visual art, Aparup Ukil has published several poetry collections, where his writing reflects a strong visual imagination and a deep sensitivity to language. His interests extend to poetry, painting, music, and cinema, and this wide artistic engagement gives his work a distinctive tone that blends image and word with rare ease.
